Henry,
I don't know how paul got in this loop.
Paul is trying to do something with groups.
are these people in the /etc/group file on all your workstations?
does the group "tdc" in your /etc/group file (on the client) have the
same number?
Thanks for the idea. The problem is now obvious. Back a year ago, when
we go the machines, I changed the name of group 101 from mit to tdc.
Now, when group mapping is automatic, everyone is getting added
automatically to the local tdc group in the /etc/group file.
Unfortunately, the update_script for PUBLIC workstations never deleted
the old listing. So, some machine have entries like:
tdc:*:101:,surfer,micaha,badbrad,michaell,kahuna,shoe,zyzygy,bistro,android,blvo
gel,yho,sexrush,garnish,vanpham,viscos,lmkorytk,cdcohen,gordo
UGH!
Boy, do I feel stupid.
Greg
