Sorry about that; the behavior I actually saw was that the console
presented me with something like:
Red Hat Linux release 6.2 (Zoot)
Kernel 2.2.nn on an i686
quickstation-11-1 login: [kolya]
Password: [...]
Login incorrect
login:
I believe the krb5 login program uses "Password for username:" as the
password prompt, and the default Linux login program uses "Password:";
the krb5 login also reports "username: Kerberos password incorrect" in
case of password mismatch.
