What were you trying to do?
Desiring that xauth be used instead of xhost for X display access
What's wrong:
dm does not use xauth. So, any other users on the same machine can
manipulate my X display.
What should have happened:
Like gdm and xdm (sane display managers), xauth should be used. Bonus
points for Kerb5-based but I'll settle for MIT-MAGIC-COOKIES since I'll
be realistic on this.

N/A.
IIRC, this has never been done properly. Are we planning on abandoning dm
or is looking into how to fix this actually worth while?
