Well, first try the following steps.

1. 'add infoagents' if you haven't already. Exit Netscape if it's running.

2. Rename or delete these two files, if they exist, to get them out of the
way:
~/.mailcap
~/.mime.types
(These are hidden files in your home directory, you'll need 'ls -a' to see
them if they exist)

3. Run 'netscape-fix' and answer yes when it asks you questions.

Let me know if netscape continues to crash after taking those steps. You
may see annoying messages on startup, but it shouldn't stop dead.
