Type and version: SPARC/5 8.3.29 (with mkserv)
Display type: cgsix
Shell: /bin/sh (/bin/athena/bash?)
Window manager: fvwm2m4
What were you trying to do?
Look up the Hesiod entries for the sipb locker.
What's wrong:
They get run together oddly:
$ attach -l sipb
sipb resolves to:
AFS /afs/athena.mit.edu/contrib/sipb n /mit/sipb 2AFS /afs/sipb.mit.edu/project/sipb n /mit/sipb 1
For comparison, the normal output is
$ attach -l amu
amu resolves to:
AFS /afs/athena.mit.edu/user/a/m/amu w /mit/amu
I have reproduced this behavior on cvp, which is running 8.4.10.
What should have happened:
Not that.
