Framemaker is a commercial product and there is currently no Linux
version available. It's unfortunate, but we didn't want to delay
deployment of Linux machines purely based on the unavailability of
Framemaker.
So, unless and until a Linux version of Framemaker comes out, you can
either use a Sun or SGI workstation to run Frame, or you can use an
alternative word processing program. Unfortunately, while there are
two decent alternatives, I don't believe either of them are officially
supported as yet. The two alternatives are Star Office ("athrun
soffice") or Applixware ("athrun applix"). We have a project going on
to fix this situation.
