Hi,
Athena currently only supports booting the 32 bit kernel under
Solaris 7. Anything that talks to the kernel fairly directly (like
machtype or top) is probably going to fail; it's possible that building
them yourself on a 64 bit machine will work, but I'm not certain.
I don't believe we anticipate supporting the 64 bit Solaris
kernel while we're still supporting sun4m machines that can't boot it,
which means at least another year (and most likely longer) before we'll
consider doing it.
