Jon, unless you are going to conduct a thorough investigation, please
leave it for those handling bug reports here at Athena to determine
whether or not a bug needs to be reported to Berkeley. And if you
still must send a report off to Berkeley, at least describe what
release of their software we're running. It is not the most recent.
As it happens, in the 4.3-tahoe release, not only did they fix this
problem, but they also split "whatis" and "apropos" away from the
"man" program.
