So, we had this bug where the athena-krb5 RPM would remove the
conf.getty line when it is uninstalled, even if it wasn't the last
version of the RPM being uninstalled on that system.
We fixed this bug in (I think) the most recent version of the
athena-krb5 RPM, but I guess I failed to notice that we'd need to
release one more (possibly identical except for the release number)
athena-krb5 RPM version to fix all of the broken machines.
Given that this problem only happened during testing, I'm somewhat
inclined to let the problem stay broken until we want to update
athena-krb5 for some other reason, and have people fix machines by
hand. You can fix a machine by replacing the contents of
/etc/conf.getty with:
LOGIN=/usr/athena/etc/login.krb5
