Display type:
Shell: /bin/athena/tcsh
Window manager: fvwm2
What were you trying to do?
Use asclock to display the current time and date.
I am using: /afs/athena.mit.edu/project/windowmgr/
arch/i386_linux2/lib/afterstep/asclock
What's wrong:
The time and date are shown in GMT.
What should have happened:
On other platforms the time is shown in EDT, and it
should be on linux also.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:

This is a known problem with running i386_linux2 binaries on the
i386_linux22 platform. (Netscape mail has the same issue.)
I believe the conclusion of the athena team was that they'd
prefer if locker maintainers updated their lockers, rather than
putting backward-compatibility changes in the cluster machines' OS's.
