What were you trying to do?
Print a DVI file.
What's wrong:
It printed about an inch too high on the page because
/usr/athena/share/texmf/dvips/config/config.ps specifies a
default paper type of A4 rather than US letter.
What should have happened:
The paper type should have defaulted to letter.
