standard 6.1 release
Something weird seems to be going on when I print files...
---
(6:45 ~) beland@Press-Your-Luck: /usr/athena/bin/enscript -h -2Gr sendmail.cw
[ 1 page * 1 copy ]
---
normally produces:
---
[ 1 page * 1 copy ] spooled to housebook2
---
My zephyr notification no longer works, either with
/usr/athena/bin/enscript or /usr/athena/bin/lpr, whether or not I use
the -z flag, and despite having the proper environment variables set:
LPROPT=-h -z
PRINTER=housebook2
Two other probably unrelated things I noticed:
1.)
As I was lpq-ing the printer, it once reported (a few seconds after it
had finished printing, but after it was showing the document as off
the queue):
Printer 'housebook2@MULCH.MIT.EDU' - cannot open connection - Cannot
assign requ
ested address
Make sure LPD server is running on the server
I /usr/athena/bin/lpq'd a few seconds later, and it was back to
normal, reporting no jobs on the queue.
2.)
There seems to be a (Y2K?) glitch on the enscript -2Gr printouts.
This file:
-rw-r--r-- 1 beland root 59 Feb 28 05:17 sendmail.cw
Was dated:
100/02/28

in the upper-left-hand corner of the printout.
