attach: dangling symlinks keep locker from being attached

I've seen this several times, mostly on dialups, but once on a private
workstation (see any of odialup[8573], odialup[8589], odialup[8591],
odialup [8587], although they aren't particulairly interesting)
The symptoms are the error given by attach:
biohazard-cafe.mit.edu# attach benster
Could not open attachtab file /var/athena/attachtab/locker/benster:
Is a directory.
biohazard-cafe.mit.edu# ls -l /var/athena/attachtab/locker/benster
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Feb 4 17:41 benster ->
/mit/benster is similairly dangling, and the locker isn't listed at all
in the output of attach.
When both symlinks are deleted, the locker attaches fine.
The date stamp on the dangling link is longer ago than we have logs of
wtmpx information, so I don't know if it happened right after he logged
out, or at some random other time.
