After killing all the hung lpr processes, I can start acroread and
reproduce the bug.
If I restart acroread, I can get the file->print menu open once
regardless of whether there are hung lpr processes, and I can go to the
file->print menu more than once as long as I choose "print to file" or
cancel without printing.
I suppose having acroread run a program other than lpr might illuminate
the matter further. Is there one you'd like me to test?
