use traceroute's -g flag
What's wrong:
% traceroute -g 18.71.0.1 www.mit.edu
traceroute: Warning: ckecksums disabled
traceroute to DANDELION-PATCH.MIT.EDU (18.181.0.31), 30 hops max, 48 byte packets
Segmentation fault
What should have happened:
-g should have worked, or traceroute should have told me why it
didn't want to comply.
