What were you trying to do?
I have netscape configured to ask me for confirmation before setting a
cookie. I typed http://www.boston.com and it asked me about a cookie.
I decided I would rather quit netscape without going through the
dialog. Knowing that the cookie dialog prevents any other keyboard or
mouse interaction with netscape I used the window manager kill function
on the main netscape window (this sends an ICCCM delete request).
What's wrong:
Netscape dumped core after deleting the main window:
/mit/infoagents/arch/sgi_65/bin/netscape[299]: 597383 Memory fault(coredump)
The core file is too large to keep but it is easy to reproduce.
What should have happened:
Netscape should have exited, since I deleted the last non-transient window.
Alternatively, netscape should have ignored the request if it could not
handle it at the time.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
I don't think you need a documentation reference to know that netscape sucks.
