It is now 1:09am EST.
I logged in shortly after 1am EDT, and got some tickets:

Ticket cache: /tmp/krb5cc_ttyp0
Default principal: jhawk@ATHENA.MIT.EDU

Valid starting Expires Service principal
10/31/99 01:12:30 10/31/99 10:12:30 krbtgt/ATHENA.MIT.EDU@ATHENA.MIT.EDU

Kerberos 4 ticket file: /tmp/tkt_ttyp0
Principal: jhawk@ATHENA.MIT.EDU

  Issued Expires Principal
...
10/31/99 01:28:43 10/31/99 10:13:43 discuss.menelaus@ATHENA.MIT.EDU

I started and ran emacs discuss, and things worked fine.
It appears that, after 1:59am EDT, discuss stopped working.

If I open a new discuss connection, all works fine. But my
existing edsc process reports "permission denied" when I try
to go to a meeting.

I presume this is because of the time change and some sort of kerberos/discuss
authentication/authorization time-based confusion.
