Thanks for the bug report. xdvi 21 required some different local
hackery to deal with the 600dpi fonts. I've submitted a patch to fix
the problem, and it should be back the way it was (with shrink2/4/6/8
buttons instead of shrink1/2/3/4 buttons, and shrink6 corresponding to
the default size) in the next patch release.
As a workaround until then, you can type a number followed by "s" in
the xdvi window to get any shrink factor you want. Typing "6s" will
get you back to the default size.

I believe you are in error here; my testing on an 8.2 machine suggests
that shrink6 would get you back to the original size.
