Xibm: MPel pixmaps have the leftmost 32 pixels replicated across the pixmap
apa16 icons seem to use XTextExtents of the current icon name when
exposing additional regions
replications: run xmille on a MPel, problem is evident (not where I noticed
it thought)
on a moniterm/apa16 take an icon with a name like "movies" drag it
till it is partially off the right side of the display, and then
drag it left till a small additional part is exposed, you will notice
a change in the "text" area of the window (the descender area is
now replaced with the background color.
