Did you fold it up accidentally? At the leftmost end of each toolbar
are small striped or hatched strips. When you click on one of these it
hides or shows that toolbar. An open toolbar has a vertical strip; when
you fold it up, it becomes horizontal and the toolbar diappears.
We can also check your preferences to see if you have hidden the toolbar
inadvertently that way, but you'd probably remember setting those ...
whereas it's easy to accidentally click on a strip and hide the toolbar -
I do it about once a day. Check and see.
