Acrobat plugin for Netscape broken on IRIX 6.3

On an Athena 8.2, IRIX 6.3 system, Netscape (even with a reinstalled,
brand-new .netscape directory in my homedir) does not offer the Adobe
Acrobat Reader plugin any more. "It used to work", as they say, only
a couple weeks ago. I didn't notice when it broke.

The link /mit/acro/nsplugins is broken now. That may have something to
do with it pointing to the "current" link in /mit/acro, which is now
version 4, which doesn't exist for anything but IRIX 6.5. The older
arch links should be fixed to point to Acrobat 3.

The plugin-list.orig file in my *old* .netscape dir had the entry:
/mit/acro/nsplugins/nppdf.so 847320718 application/pdf: pdf:Portable Document
Format;

so could that be made to work once again? Please let me know how to
make it a viable alternative in my netscape "Preferences" menu again.

thanks,
