In GNU Emacs 18.49.35G of Wed Oct 7 1987 on w20-575-64 (berkeley-unix)
This is something that has bothered me for a while, so I finally decided
to report it. (feature??)
The deal is that if you're editting a file, then type ^x^c, you are
asked
"Save buffer foo?"
You may answer either y or n, but ONLY y or n. If you type y, the
file's saved. If you type n, you get the second question:
"Modified buffer exists, do you wish to exit?"
at which point you may type yes, no, or ^G. Why can't you change your
mind earlier, when it first asks, "Save buffer foo?", by typing ^G?
To me it's mildly annoying, since if I press ^x^c by mistake (when I
really meant ^x^s or something) then I have to remember to ask emacs
NOT to save the file, THEN ^G out of the second question.
Cheers
