What were you trying to do?
I had invoked xss before going to a meeting and upon my return
attempted to unlock my screen.
What's wrong:
xss failed to respond when I hit the space bar (or any other key) or
used the mouse. The screen saver continued making pretty circles and
stars on the screen instead of putting up the box that asks for my
password.
What should have happened:
It should have popped up the box with the timer on it and let me enter
my password and unlock my screen.
Other info:
Eventually I was able to get the box to pop up and unlock the screen.
According to danw network trouble probably caused the problem. I do
not have a lock command or anything special set. It seems rather poor
that when there's network trouble I can't unlock my screen and I have
no idea why there'd be a network dependency in unlocking the screen.
