This is an error message. It prints on st because either you aren't
in /etc/shadow or you are in /etc/shadow but have no password there.
It doesn't print on other machines because you are properly
shadow-passworded there.

I've never seen this on antharia in the several months I've been using
xss. Although I have a Sun monitor attached to it.
