What were you trying to do?
Get tickets in another realm.
What's wrong:
The other realm's kerberos server is not reachable.
What should have happened:
kinit should have given an error message before asking for my
password. For example (going the opposite direction, but same
issue):
copious-free-time:~ [134] kinit yonah@ATHENA.MIT.EDU
kinit: Cannot contact any KDC for requested realm while getting initial credentials
copious-free-time:~ [136] kinit --version
kerbnet-1.2
What did happen:
