What were you trying to do?
I was attempting to run Matlab v5.2.
What's wrong:
My startup scripts automatically add the locker matlab; at the
athena% prompt, soon after logging in (and not after altering the
values of any environment variables or making any other modifications
that would affect Matlab), I got an error in the xterm that the
matlab wrapper script spawns. (The window closed too quickly to read
the error, but I could tell it was not a segfault.)
Curiously, the problem occurred on m4-035-1, but did not when I
logged into m4-035-4 and ran matlab.
What should have happened:
Matlab should have started normally.
