What's wrong:

DESCRIPTION
     Inetd should be run at boot time by /etc/rc.local.  It then
     listens for connections on certain internet sockets.  When a

          service name
          socket type
          protocol
          wait/nowait
          user
          server program
          server program arguments

What should have happened:

In our environment, inetd is run by /etc/rc (well, really, by
/etc/rc.net.)  I think that saying "inetd should be run at boot time."
is sufficient; where it is run from has nothing to do with the program
itself.

The line "switched/unswitched" should be added to this list after
"wait/nowait".  

.....

There may be other problems with the manual page as well that I did
not find.  You see, I don't know that much about inetd -- that's why I
was reading the manual page!!!
