Hi, Alex. The machtype -c output is the same on Ultra 5s and 10s
because they don't have a whole lot of distinguishing hardware. The
main difference in our setup is the frame buffers, and that's probably
what is at issue here.
There are a number of fixes to frame buffer drivers in the 8.2.17
patch release, which is out in the dev cell. If you can reproduce the
problem on a machine running 8.2.17, then we should start worrying
about it, but trying to do that is the first step.
