I observed today that when grabbing or forwarding a question
asked from a machine that's not currently pinging, olcd hangs for
approximately a minute before sending a "Host machine down" zephyr to
the consultant connected to the question. During this time, no one may
start an olc{,r} client, or forward, grab, or send to any of the other
questions in the queue. Since olcd is supposed to be fingering at the
machine every 10 minutes or so after the question is asked anyway, I'm
not sure why it's not noticing the machine as being down sooner. It
seems either making it notice down machines sooner or not check with the
user's machine during a grab or forward.
