For any criticisms apparently contained in my reply, I apologize.
I did not have any intention to be critical, and am sorry if I
came across that way.
I appreciate bug-report status messages very much. Bug reporting
can be discouraging when half of the reports give the appearance
of vanishing into oblivion.
Unfortunately, I mis-read your message as a notification of
resolution, rather than a notification of current state.
(On first reading, my impression was that you were saying:
"We have reproduced the reported bug and work-around.
It isn't really worth worrying about. Thank you and good bye.")
Re-reading indicates that this is probably not what you were
saying, but my initial reaction was dismay that the matter might
be dropped.
