OS: Athena-Linux 4.2. Mozg: old installation, heavily modified since
then. tte: fresh install as of June.
This problem occurs with both the tty and X client displays.
Generally what will happen is that I will get about three messages,
get notified of them all at once, and then get the same three notices
two more times, separate by about two minutes.
