thank you very much for reporting this.

We are currently planning to disable this power saving feature on a global 
scale in a patch update later this summer.

If you want a quick work around, you can put "xset x noblank" in your login 
files (e.g. .Xlogin).  I believe that is the correct syntax, but you should 
check man xset.

:)       After the latest athena software upgrade, the computer screen
:)       becomes dark if unattended for a few minutes, and then it takes 
:)       quite a while before it returns to its full brightness. 
:)       While this might make sense for a public athena station where

:)       logged in, fro a private workstation like ours this is a very 
:)       annoying thing.. Any way around this problem?
