What were you trying to do?
I was trying to run "xlock" and received this message:
xlock is not appropriate for cluster workstations, because:
* Anyone can unlock the machine using the well-known root
password.
* It does not display an elapsed time or put up a button
to allow others to log you out after a set time.
If you really wish to run xlock, run it as 'xlock.real' instead.
Press return to read the On-Line Consulting stock answer about
screensavers, or press Control-C to go back to the prompt.
/usr/athena/bin/xlock: /bin/athena/attachrun: not found
So I type "xlock.real &" and left the terminal to make a phone call.
What's wrong:
When I returned and entered my password, I got "invalid password" and was locked
out of the terminal.
What should have happened:
I should have been able to get back in.
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
Is this a real bug or maybe some hack to get people's passwords?
