i doubt it; it is more likely that this message left
athena.masscomp.com with a bad "From:" field (namely, not in the form
user@host), and ATHENA.MIT.EDU tried to correct it, since it "knows"
that "From:" and "To:" people which haven't a "@hostname" attached are
local.
in short, it is probably a mailer problem on the remote end.
