Display type: ffb
What were you trying to do?
a user was trying to run matlab on an IRIX 5.3 workstation in
the w20 cluster.
What's wrong:
it gave him the "no binary was found for matlab in the locker.
try add -f matlab_v5.2; matlab" message. doing so did the same thing.
The workaround was to do matlab -ver 5.1 or -ver 4.2.
[the user also expressed concern about his scripts being
obsoleted on 9/1 when matlab 4.2 expires, but this is a seperate
issue altogether]
What should have happened:
Matlab shouldn't have been set to default to a version that
isn't supported on cluster machines.
