What were you trying to do?
moving my volumes in the zone cell around
What's wrong:
after moving my zone homedir from casio to seiko, I vos backup'd
the volume. While I was then able to access the top level, I was unable
to access OldFiles, which is a mountpoint for
#zone.mit.edu:user.klmitch.backup; any attempt to access that particular
directory resulted in "connection timed out" messages. I deleted and
recreated the mountpoint; I performed fs flush and fs flushvol several
times, but this error never went away. I am able to correctly access
the directory from another machine, which leads me to suspect that the
SGI is caching a negative response from somewhere...
What should have happened:
I should have been able to access the volume without bogus
connection timed out notices.
