This happens if the zhm process on the machine has crashed for some
reason (or if someone else logged in as root and killed it, although
that seems a little unlikely). Since the zhm in the next Athena
release has a substantially different code base, I don't think it's
worth spending too much time trying to track down why. If you ever
see this happen again, you can su to root ("tellme root" to find the
root password) and run "/etc/athena/zhm" to restart the hostmanager
process.
