Ok, now that I've seen this twice, I thought I'd report it.
Once when logging in as myself on this computer, and once logging in as
paco (the OLC dummy account) on afterburner, I didn't get the standard
stuff written to the console window.
It's been about a week since the ramjet incident, so I can't remember it
exactly. However, on afterburner, the console window did not appear.
When I did "show_console", the window was completely blank. (It did
have a scrollbar the full height of the window.) When I logged out,
nothing was displayed to the console window. I logged in again
immediately, and the console window did what it normally does.
I seem to remember that the first time this happened, the console window
also did not display. When I did show_console, not all of the normal
stuff was there. ("Setting up environment...", "Starting mwm window
manager..", etc) However, there might have been some text. ("Athena
Workstation (sun4) Version 8.1.16"...) I can't recall.
Of course, this is totally un-reproducable. :) But I thought that I
would mention it just in case.
