What were you trying to do?

I will copy and paste the conversation with the olc consultant, it explains eerything (note that I was doing these in another session, again with sun.dialup, but I am not sure if it was ten-thousand or not):

Topic: accounts

Question:
I logged in about 2 minutes ago, and I typed pine. I have a small script that ge
ts my mail and prepares it for pine. But this time it did not work because it sa
id "who are you (unable to get login name)" (or something along these lines).en
I typed "whoami"
and the response was "Intruder alert". I don't know what happened but I thought
I should let you know. I logged out and logged in again and now everything looks
fine. I changed my password. Do you have any idea about what might have caused
this? did someon
e get my password?
Thanks.

Greetings. It sounds like your entry in /etc/passwd got deleted
somehow. I believe this is a known bug, but you might
want to report it with sendbug.
