Sure and simply enough...

% cat /mit/rtingres/files/abf.opt
/u1/usr/rtingres.5.0/lib/abflib
/u1/usr/rtingres.5.0/lib/gbflib
/u1/usr/rtingres.5.0/lib/framelib
/u1/usr/rtingres.5.0/lib/termdrlib
/u1/usr/rtingres.5.0/lib/fmtlib
/u1/usr/rtingres.5.0/lib/libqlib
/u1/usr/rtingres.5.0/lib/compatlib

Ares' ingres setup was copied from demeter, where it was in a
different directory. Things should be ok now - thanks for reporting
this.

That's how everything got messed up in the first place. I've decided
to remove all the bogus links to /mit/rtingres.
