System name: starkiller
Type and version: SPARC/5 8.1.13 (with mkserv)
Display type: cgthree
What were you trying to do?
Mostly, playing around
What's wrong:
Ok. Starkiller is a two-headed beast. I executed f.stop from
a menu while in display :0.1 and waited. Eventually a zephyr appeared
on my display :0.0, and my cursor, still in the skull-and-crossbones
configuration, jumped to that display. During this time, the menu from
which I had selected the f.stop function remain displayed on :0.1. I
then clicked in the root window (so I didn't stop any windows), returned
the pointer to :0.1, and clicked the mouse button to display the menu
from which I had selected f.stop; that option remained highlighted until
I moved the pointer to within the menu. The menu in :0.0 did not show
any similiar anomoly, and checking it first did not fix the anomoly in
the :0.1 menu.
What should have happened:
The jumping pointer may be deliberate, but strikes me as breaking
the principle of least suprise. The continual highlight in the menu is
a minor anomoly that should probably be checked into sometime.
