Updating a Sun directly from 7.7Y to 8.1.14 not only fails, it makes
the machine unbootable. The update apparently fails to install proper
bootblocks (or so I'm guessing based on fact that booting the machine
fails with a "can't find bootblocks" error).
I have the update log for the machine in question if someone wants to
look at it, but I suspect it'll be mainly of academic interest.
If you have any Suns still at 7.7, be *SURE* to update them to 8.0
before going to 8.1.
