System name: starkiller
Type and version: SPARC/5 8.1.11 (with mkserv)
Display type: cgthree
What were you trying to do?
Poking around
What's wrong:
found a core.root, generated by console; stack trace:
starkiller# gdb `where console` core.root
...
Core was generated by `/etc/athena/console -f /etc/athena/login/Console -display :0.0 -inputfd 3'.
Program terminated with signal 8, Arithmetic exception.

#1 0xef578dbc in _libc_sigaction ()
#2 0x14b00 in main (argc=7, argv=0xeffffebc) at console.c:681
I've saved the core. This isn't the first one, but it's the first one
I've caught before clean_tmp_areas got to it first.
What should have happened:
console shouldn't be dumping core
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
well, common sense is as good as any...
I should mention that starkiller is a multi-headed machine (but you knew
that already), but I don't know if that's the problem. Definitely, the
stack trace doesn't seem to have anything at all to do with it being
multi-headed, but I wonder if this may be somehow related (either
caused by or causing) the Xlogin screensaver problem with multi-headed
machines. Seems unlikely, but so did ncsd...
