I believe that cfields is already working on a fix for this. Mainly
I'm reporting it so that everyone knows about it.
We noticed during the power outage on Thursday that if a sun booted
while it could not connect to the time server (time.mit.edu) it would
hang while running gettime, and that it would vontinue to hang even
after it could talk to time.mit.edu. Rebooting seemed to be the only
way to solve the problem. This problem does not seem to affect the
SGI's (according to craig, this is because gettime is backgrounded on
the sgi, so its hanging doesn't block other things.
