What's wrong:
telnet athena
Trying...
telnet: connect: Connection refused
telnet> open athena
[repeat total of 61 times]
telnet> open athena
athena: unknown host

same error occurs with any further machine name attempts.
Probably a file descriptor leak.
/mit/watchmaker/vaxbin/telnet has the same problem. I don't have time
to check the RT.
What should have happened:
telnet should not fail to resolve names. Getting bored is no excuse.
