Thanks for the bug report; this bug should be fixed this summer in the
8.1 Athena release.
Presumably it only happens after 60 seconds when the second re-ring
should happen, so it isn't a terrible problem. At any rate, the bug
does not occur on SGIs, so you can work around it for now by switching
platforms.
