In GNU Emacs 19.30.1 (sparc-sun-solaris2.4, X toolkit) of Sat Sep 21 1996 on downy
configured using `configure --prefix=/usr/athena --with-x-toolkit --sharedstatedir=/var/tmp --with-pop --with-hesiod --with-kerberos --x-includes= --x-libraries='

I do C-xC-b to get a buffer list. I move my cursor to the buffer list
item of my choice (via c-x c-o & c-n, or via left mouse button) and
hit `q' to quit. In the good old days (emacs 18) I'd then wind up in
the buffer of my choice. Now I have to type mouse-2 to get the same
effect.

Is there some reason why `q' (Buffer-menu-quit) does not quit to the desired
buffer like mouse-2 (Buffer-menu-mouse-select)?
