Hello. You tried to send an e-mail letter on this workstation but it was
never delivered. It is still sitting here on this workstation.
The particulars are at the end of this letter.
If you want to access the letter to resend it:
1. log on to this particular workstation as root
2. retrieve your letter from the /usr/spool/mqueue directory; it will
be in the form of a file with a random-looking name.
I found this out by using the mailq command. Since mail being delayed
in this fashion seems to happen from time to time, I recommend you run
mailq every time you log in and log out so you will be aware if your
letters are actually being sent.
In certain cases, it is normal for mail to wait on the local workstation
for a short time if the recipient's site is busy. However, if it sits
around too long, with no action taken and without it being returned to
the sender, you should begin to suspect the sending workstation.
I am not affiliated with Athena in any direct fashion. If you want to
talk to Athena you should ask in OLC. Please let me know if I can
improve this explanation.
Take care,
Mike
