netscape in infoagents on sgi

I start up netscape on an sgi and now it wants terminal input and doesn't
relinquish control of the xterm to me:
picasso 364% /mit/infoagents/bin/netscape &
picasso 366% jobs
[1] + Suspended (tty output) /mit/infoagents/bin/netscape
picasso 367% fg
/mit/infoagents/bin/netscape
The default version of Netscape on Athena has been changed to 3.0.
If this causes problems that are new since 2.02, please report them
using the sendbug program.
To run the previous version,
add infoagents
netscape-2.02 &
You can now get Netscape to support additional document types
(such as movies, sounds and PostScript graphics) by modifying
your Netscape preferences. Type 'man netscape' for details.
< now the xterm is dead , no ctrl-c, ctrl-z or carriage returns>
