Hi! The Gopher/Xgopher programs seem to be failing since the host
"gopher.mit.edu" is hardcoded into them. This host appears to be dead.
Plus, they aren't compiled for Linux/NetBSD, but that isn't really a bug.
I think there two solutions:
A) fix gopher.mit.edu
B) fix the gopher/xgopher programs to point to a different default host
Also, it may be nice to have a message reminding people that Web browsers
can speak gopher also with the "gopher://" URL.
